DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Custodial Worker 1, you will take charge of essential cleaning tasks, ensuring that lavatory facilities, office spaces, garage areas, and training or meeting rooms are maintained to the highest standard. You will also oversee essential building maintenance functions, including efficient waste collection, thorough dusting of furniture and fixtures, sweeping, washing, waxing floors, vacuuming, and window cleaning. You will proficiently operate various small tools and equipment, such as push and riding mowers, weed eaters, edgers, and hedge trimmers. Your responsibilities will involve expertly mowing grass, pulling weeds, and diligently maintaining planting beds, trees, and shrubs across department grounds and facilities. In winter, you will efficiently clear sidewalks and driveways of snow and ice, rake leaves, and manage minor storm damage, such as fallen branches, as necessary. You will confidently select the right tools and equipment for every task, ensuring they are properly cleaned and maintained to uphold our operational standards. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: + Full-time employment + Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. + Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $34,523 (before taxes). + You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
