THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission is seeking a motivated and reliable Custodial Worker 1 to join the Archives Division and assist with the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned location's structures, furnishings, and surrounding grounds areas. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Custodial Worker 1, you will engage in a variety of general maintenance duties such as sweeping, vacuuming, waxing and buffing floors, restroom upkeep, and cleaning windows and walls. You will also be responsible for tending to weather related tasks including shoveling snow and ensuring walkways are safe from ice and debris. This position involves utilizing cleaning tools and equipment, gathering and disposing of waste products, and moving furniture and various equipment. It is essential to ensure that the supervisor is informed of any necessary repairs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Part-time employment
+ Work hours are 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
+ Occasional Saturday work may be required.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
