Job Description

Position Summary

Responsible for upkeep, cleaning, and maintaining facility related equipment, building, parking lots and property. Supporting all areas of the facilities, in production departments, office areas, bathrooms, and cafeterias.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assists in the maintenance of property including but not limited to offices, production areas, public areas, and equipment through completion of preventive maintenance programs according to specificationsCompletes daily Standard Work task lists and event reportsIn this role you will be responsible for ensuring both the office area and production floor are clean and safe; helping other departments per business needsEmpties trash in production and in the officeSweeping, mopping interior of the building, and general cleaning of the floor using brooms, mops, and a commercial floor sweeping machineMaintains and disinfects restrooms which includes sweeping, mopping, cleaning, replenishing paper supplies and soapCleans windows, replaces air filters, etcOrders, tracks and maintains suppliesMaintains tidy parking lots and exterior of the building, picks up refuse and empties outdoor waste binsShovels snow / apply salt as needed to compliment outside serviceIndividually lift and manipulate parts/equipment weighing up to 50 poundsFollows safety requirements, wears Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, aprons, gloves, and shoesKeeps the factory clean, safe and organizedAssists with 5S projects and initiativesMinor maintenance tasks such as light bulb changes and paintingHelps in other departments per business needs per your supervisor's direction The work environment of this position is generally performed in an indoor environment (at times in confined spaces)Job functions on and around mechanized equipment will present the need for alertness, accuracy, and safety awarenessInterfaces with appropriate staff/managers to implement maintenance needs; ensures timely response to requestsAssists in the maintenance of proper inventory levelsAssists in fire and safety inspections corrects any discrepancies; ensures property complies with all safety and sanitation policies, procedures, and regulationsAssists in maintaining waste disposal, including any hazardous waste such as acetone, mineral spirits, or solvents.

Work Environment

Most of the work time is spent in a warehouse environment where temperatures are heated and air conditioned, depending upon the season, and noise level can be moderate to highOccasionally outside weather conditions, year roundHandling of small amounts of general and hazardous waste. Hazardous waste includes solvents, acetones, and mineral spirits. General waste mayinclude hydraulic oil, mixed water/cleaning solutions, and general cleaning agents such as soaps and detergents.Handling of non-hazardous materials such as cutting oils, coolants, grease, water

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
