**Job Title: Custodian** **Job Description** The successful candidate will provide daily cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking of restrooms and public areas. The role includes cleaning restroom commodes, vanities, toilets, urinals, floors, walls, and other surfaces. It also involves mopping, vacuuming, cleaning glass surfaces, and wiping down tables in public areas. Routine cleaning functions include disposing of trash and recyclables, changing liners, and ensuring overall cleanliness and replenishment of paper products in restrooms. The ability to lift and/or move equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds is required. Candidates must also perform additional projects as assigned, understand the importance of product safety, and communicate regularly with the occupants in their assigned area, providing feedback to their supervisor. **Responsibilities** + Perform daily cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking of restrooms and public areas. + Clean restroom commodes, vanities, toilets, urinals, floors, walls, and other surfaces. + Mop, vacuum, clean glass surfaces, and wipe down tables in public areas. + Dispose of trash and recyclables, change liners, and ensure overall cleanliness in assigned areas. + Replenish paper products in restrooms. + Lift and/or move equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds. + Perform additional projects as assigned. + Understand and adhere to product safety protocols. + Communicate regularly with occupants in assigned areas and provide feedback to supervisors. + Carry out other cleaning duties and tasks as directed by supervisors. **Essential Skills** + One year of experience in housekeeping with two manager references confirming it. + High school graduate or equivalent preferred. + Ability to read and follow directions on products and material data safety sheets. + Ability to follow instructions and operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and efficiently. + Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds using proper techniques. + Flexibility to work all three (3) shifts and respond to emergencies. + Ability to perform tasks including snow removal to ensure community safety. + Ability to perform other cleaning tasks as assigned by supervisors or management. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in vacuuming, edging, dusting, cleaning and stocking restrooms, window cleaning, emptying trash and transporting to proper disposal areas, sweeping, and mopping floors. + Capability to lift and move 50 lbs of equipment **Work Environment** This position is located in Philadelphia. Shifts vary from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, and some schedules do not follow traditional work week schedules. The role is part of a team of over 450 housekeeping employees and is represented by the Teamsters Local 115 Union. Orientation training will be on the 1st shift for two weeks before starting the assigned schedule. Shift options include 5:00am-1:30pm, 6:00am-2:30pm, 8:00am-4:30pm for 1st shift, 4:00pm-12:30am for 2nd shift, and 12:00am-8:30am for 3rd shift. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $43472.00 - $43472.00/yr.
