Vice President for Operations **GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE FUNCTION** All Hinds Community College employees must commit to the Caring Campus approach to student engagement and daily apply these general behavioral objectives: listen to student questions and concerns with a positive attitude and make meaningful connections with students. The purpose of this position is to maintain desirable environment with pleasant surroundings so as to enhance the learning process. **QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. **EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE** High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or at least one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include the following:** Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices. Other duties may be assigned. Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, dust and perform normal duties in the custodian profession. Sanitize restrooms daily. Operate needed equipment used in custodian profession. Clean chalkboards and dry erase boards. Clean windows, blinds, and drapes. Assemble and dispose of all trash on a daily basis. Clean and dust furniture at a scheduled time. Be available to come to work at odd times if needed. Responsible for wearing uniform daily, as provided by Hinds Community College. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the appropriate authority. Maintain a valid driver’s license. **PHYSICAL DEMANDS** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
