Augustana Apartments of Minneapolis, an independent and assisted living senior care campus in Minneapolis, is hiring a Full-Time Custodian / Maintenance Worker to join our team! 

In this role, you will be responsible for keeping our campus clean and comfortable for our residents. This Custodian work includes ensuring that common areas - dining rooms, foyers, hallways, bathroom - lights are properly working or replacing light bulbs, taking care of light maintenance duties, and interacting with residents who have a maintenance need inside their apartment. Some of this interaction would include driving residents in the company van; a class B license is preferred.

Our building is located on the bus line in the heart of historic Elliot Park Neighborhood. We offer free parking and staff have easy access to various public transportation options. 

This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position working Sunday - Wednesday from 8:00am - 4:30pm.

What does a Custodian / Maintenance Worker do?

Provides carpet and floor care in resident rooms and common areas.Disposes of trash from common areas and resident rooms.Clean windows, move and arrange furniture, dust in common areas.Perform routine maintenance repairs and projects as needed.Respond to maintenance requests by residents and staff.Follow-through on projects with little supervision.Perform manual tasks and carry out all given job related instructions.Keep detailed reports of ongoing and completed projects.Perform other duties as requested.

What does a Housekeeper require?.

Able to make basic repairs inside and outside of building, basic carpentry, basic plumbing, replace light bulbs, filters, etc.Able to use basic maintenance tools such as hammer, pliers, screwdriver, drill, etc.Class B license preferred.
