Custodian/Maintenance Worker
Custodian/Maintenance Worker II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Perform skilled work in the maintenance, repair, and remodeling of offices, houses, or other Agency facilities. · Performs rough and finished carpentry. · Repairs doors, door checks, and locks tables, chairs, and other wooden equipment · Paints a variety of surfaces both inside and outside of buildings using brushes, spray guns, and rollers. · Performs plaster work and does patch plastering on old wall surfaces. · Measure distance using a tape measure or other measuring device. · Comprehend and make inferences from written materials. · Make controlled manipulations of small objects, such as assembling bolts and washers · Reach high work areas with ladders and/or scaffolding and work at heights greater than ten feet. · Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others. · Report any safety issues immediately. If unable to complete/perform a job because of safety issues, report issues immediately to your supervisor. · Perform snow removal and lawn maintenance, landscaping duties · Emptying garbage receptacles and replacing liners (inside and outside), mopping, sweeping and vacuuming floors, spot cleaning carpet when necessary, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms including toilets, sinks, mirrors, light switches, door handles, soap dispensers, paper towel dispersers, toilet paper dispensers, sanitary bag holders and wall dividers, dusting furniture and exposed surfaces, cleaning walls, cleaning entrance ways including door glass, cleaning wash stations and emergency eye washes, washing windows and cleaning window sills and baseboards. · Restocking supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas including soap, toilet paper, paper towels, sanitary bags etc. III. IV. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities. V. Computer Skills- Must be knowledgeable about Internet software and Microsoft Office components including Word, Office, Excel, and PowerPoint. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations- Must possess a valid NYS driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Successful completion of all required agency training.
