Summary

 

The Custom Application Development Summer/Fall Co-Op will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions that meet the needs of various business areas across Skyworks’ Enterprise where custom application support is needed. The incumbent will work under senior software architects/designers in the Custom Application team and with different departments to determine how to best implement new solutions and improve existing ones. The student should be available from July to December 2025.

 

Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

 

Participate in research and proofs of concept related to modernizing our existing suite of applications for Azure. Work closely with a member of the Skyworks development team to implement cloud-based components using C# and .NET technologies. Collaborate with team members to design, implement, and test new features. Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing software. Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards. Help us improve and automate our software development processes and procedures. Support and contribute to the development of modernization strategies such as cloud migration. Assist in assessment and remediation of technical debt. Required Experience and Skills

 

Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Graduate level program in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle Experience with an object-oriented programming language, preferably C# Knowledge of SQL and database concepts Ability to perform research on technical topics, summarize for others, and implement sample or POC projects using researched technology Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and collaboration skills Eagerness to learn and a positive attitude towards challenges Desired Experience and Skills

 

Familiarity with C# and the .NET framework Interest in learning and using Microsoft Azure Understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes Familiarity with version control systems like Git

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
