Customer Access Associate
Description We are searching for a Customer Access Associate in Newark, CA for our client, where you will handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, faxes, and other communications related to healthcare services. Their team is dedicated to delivering an exceptional patient and customer experience by efficiently coordinating services, accurately answering inquiries, and ensuring seamless access to healthcare. This is a great, long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of turning into a permanent position. Key Responsibilities: + Respond to high-volume inbound calls and referrals from patients, providers, and clinic staff. + Assist patients with registering, scheduling, and canceling appointments. + Accurately document and route calls to the appropriate department. + Identify urgent customer needs or operational issues and escalate them as necessary. + Navigate electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure patient information is correctly updated. + Adhere to regulatory and compliance standards. + Provide high-level customer service, following documented protocols and guidelines. + Maintain and exceed quality assurance standards. + Use reference materials and online tools to accurately communicate service information. + Operate the telephone system effectively. + Perform additional departmental duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications: + High School Diploma or GED required. + At least six months of customer service experience in a high-volume environment Skills & Abilities: + Ability to type at least 40 words per minute. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to navigate and update patient records accurately. + Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities. + Knowledge of healthcare terminology and scheduling systems is a plus.
