Your new team

This position sits in our Pernod Ricard UK (PRUK) business. Our diverse population of 300+ passionate employees have been creating conviviality since 2001, bringing our premium brands and unforgettable experiences to the UK. As the world’s 2nd largest spirits market, the UK is a key location for our company. Since 2017 PRUK has also hosted The Gin Hub, the team responsible for managing the Group’s unrivalled portfolio of ‘Premium+’ International Gins globally.

The UK market is a well-developed, competitive environment with a number of large competitors selling to very well developed trade segments. The On Trade consists of over 120,000 licensed premises supplied by a number of large national and many small regional wholesalers. Although the On Trade Channel in totality has been under pressure in recent years, the markets that Pernod Ricard operate in remain comparatively buoyant. Thus the channel is an important contributor to the profit of Pernod Ricard in the UK as well as playing a vital role in building the equity of our brands with consumers.

 

Your unique contribution

You will have 4 main areas of responsibility:

 

Strategy:  Contribute to the overall strategy, direction and management of the business unit. Develop customer account plans and budget, to facilitate delivery of business unit profit. Represent the customer(s) in all business planning, providing market, customer and competitor insights.

 

Performance Management: Deliver account performance targets to hit business unit profit targets. Manage accurate and timely performance reporting into the business. Drive accurate financial management of the account(s) – LE’s, forecasting, invoicing, accruals.

 

People Development and Team Management: Create a high performing supportive team environment consistent with PRUK values. Manage and coach your direct report to deliver constantly improving business results

 

Relationships: Operate in a spirit of trust and integrity with customers in line with PRUK values. Build cross-functional and inter-channel relationships to facilitate business delivery.

Business Unit Controller, Commercial Analyst, Channel Director, Other CAM’s, Brand Marketing, Brand Companies, Customer Marketing, Customer Services, Category Development & Customer Account Executive.

Externally, your contacts will be

Prestige Retail Accounts , On Trade consumers.

 

Your blend of talent

This position could be right for you if you:

Experience in the Prestige trade with cross functional understanding of on and off trade, as well as EComm.Experience of project management with external customers to drive new business.Experience with creating strategy aligned to channel goals in order to deliver growth.An excellent communicator with senior stakeholders, brands, and peers (conversational and presentational)Possess ability to summarize key findings/insights and make actionable recommendationsExperience managing relationships within an organisation
