Customer Account Specialist
Location: Eden Prairie, MN (Onsite)
Contract Duration: 6 months with possibility for hire
Pay: $25-27/hour
Beacon Hill's client is seeking a Customer Account Specialist to serve as a key liaison between customers, internal teams, and external partners. This role is responsible for managing customer relationships, ensuring seamless service execution, and driving operational efficiency. With a mix of customer-facing and operational responsibilities, this position is an excellent stepping stone to an Account Management role.
This is an exciting contract opportunity with possibility for hire that is onsite in Eden Prairie, MN.
Key Responsibilities:Customer Experience:Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.Communicate proactively with customers, carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service.Handle customer inquiries, manage exceptions, and provide timely updates.Utilize negotiation skills and market knowledge to execute pricing strategies effectively.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure service quality and accuracy.Assist in conflict resolution and navigate complex customer conversations with diplomacy.Process Efficiency:Adopt and implement new tools and processes to enhance workflow.Leverage data and reporting insights to optimize service delivery.Partner with internal teams to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).Participate in team meetings and actively contribute to process improvements.Execution & Operations:Use technology to monitor order statuses and take corrective actions when issues arise.Execute customer workflows and SOPs to provide cost-effective, efficient solutions.Collaborate with Account Management, Operations, and Capacity teams to ensure exceptional service.Assist with financial decision-making and customer support tasks as needed.Qualifications:Required: High School Diploma or GED and experience in customer engagement.Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field.Customer service experience or experience in a related role.Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and collaboration skills.Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze and interpret data.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Ability to travel up to 5% domestically.This role offers a dynamic mix of customer service and operations, making it an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to grow into an Account Management position.
