Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.The work model for the role is: onsiteYou will be mainly accountable for:•\tManage customer transactions with a high degree of accuracy including but not limited to purchase orders, sales orders, project orders, and debit/credit memos using SAP, Sales Force, and other tools as required.•\tAble to demonstrate professionalism, patience, and a positive attitude while engaging customers orally and in writing.•\tTake calls, e-mails and instant messages from internal/external customers, sales leadership, and field sales personnel. Respond to inquiries and demonstrate a sense of urgency when critical issues arise. •\tSupport the development and implementation of business processes to streamline order processing. •\tDevelop creative and proactive solutions to day-to-day and event-based problems. Be an active member of the lean process improvement efforts by participating in continuous improvement projects and engaging in solutions to challenges.•\tDemonstrate a willingness to understand and own reports/metrics in support of continuous improvements.•\tDemonstrate an attitude of teamwork and emotional intelligence by supporting team members and building collaborative relationships across functions. •\tEnsure the completion and maintenance of all records, paperwork, documentation, etc. necessary to comply with regulatory demands, export and compliance guidelines and ABB internal policies. •\tFollow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations; Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.

Qualifications for the role

\tCurrently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in the United States. \tIntern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite. \tMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future. \tUtilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions\tEffectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines\tDemonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality\tCollaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
