Job Title: Customer Data & Analytics Intern

Job Summary: The Customer Data Intern will be primarily involved with the Customer Data team within our Consumer and Competitive Insights team. This role will utilize Wawa sales and customer data to help uncover new insights about our customers as well as have a capstone project to present to marketing leadership at the end of the internship program. They will also assist with ad-hoc requests from business partners and building out new reporting tools/enhancing current reports.
Principal Duties:Support customer analysis requests from our business partners using SQL to query internal data (category teams, fuel, product development, etc.)Better understand customer behavior at Wawa within our customer segments. Additionally learn more around the occasion types for those customer segments when they shop Wawa.Illuminate areas of opportunity to move customers along the customer funnel.Complete a customer data project of your design and present to marketing leadership.Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams to support campaigns, reporting requests and other ad-hoc analysis.Essential Functions:

Pursuing bachelor’s degree with a concentration or major in Data Analytics, Financial Analysis, Statistics, Mathematics, or other related fields.Hands on experience utilizing SQL (joining and filtering tables) to query data within complex datasets (experience with Python or R Studio is a plus)Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products, including strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint (experience with Visual Basic is a plus)Experience with Snowflake is a plusStrong desire to learn about coding languages as well as the various business functions of WawaMinimum GPA of 3.0 or HigherCandidates must be currently enrolled in a college or university for the Spring 2025 semester – Fall 2026 semesterCandidate must be available from May 19, 2025 – August 7, 2025Wawa currently observes a 4-day in office schedule Monday - Thursday with an opportunity to work remote on FridayWawa will provide reasonable accommodation to complete an application upon request, consistent with applicable law.
