Customer Engagement Specialist

Position Summary:

The Customer Engagement Specialist is a key member of the Marketing and Communications team that helps manage and develop customer experiences: support for Donated Goods Retail (DGR) customer engagement, loyalty program, database administration, responding to and resolving customer inquiries and implementation of marketing strategies to increase customer engagement. Responsibilities include engagement strategies using Salesforce, social media platforms, point of sale system and other technology to
develop deeper connections between GESMN and its customers. The role requires excellent communication skills, use of technology to support strategy and high-level duties based on comprehensive knowledge of organization policies and procedures.

 

Day in the life: In a typical day, a Customer Engagement Specialist will...

Technology & Brand Stewardship: Understands the importance of accuracy and demonstrates flexibility in using technology to develop and manage customer relationships to increase engagement, with a focus on GESMN’s brand stewardship and
organizational voice. Communications: Provides communications support to the marketing team, DGR and store leadership, internal stakeholders,
following direction provided by the Marketing and Communications Director

Job Pay & Perks:

Pay range: $27.38- $37.04 Hourly This is a scheduled-hybrid role whose essential functions require work to be conducted at a physical location, which may include a GESMN or partner facility, at least two (2) days per week. About You:

Required Knowledge & Skills:

Understanding of branding and customer engagement strategies, using technology and
innovation to strengthen GESMN’s connection with multiple audiences. Demonstrates acumen in the gravity of stewarding the Goodwill brand and
communicating on its behalf in everyday work, growing customer engagement and
adhering to organizational messaging.  Advanced skills in job-related technology: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Teams), database applications like Salesforce, point of sale, intranet and web CMS. Ability to anticipate business needs and effectively navigate a complex and dynamic organization. Demonstrates excellent customer service to resolve conflict; excellent verbal and written
communication skills. Ability to organize and prioritize communications, multiple details and deadlines in a high-volume
work setting serving both internal and external stakeholders.

 

Prior Experience & Education:

3-5 years of relevant experience required. Associate degree preferred but not required.
