TITLE:  Customer Engineer - Restaurants

GRADE: 7

POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

This Customer Engineer position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and replacement of the Point of Sale (POS) system and other technological equipment on-site at our client’s locations while representing NCR Voyix in a manner that reflects positively on the image, core values, and reputation of the companyThis position includes up to 100% travel as you will drive in a company vehicle or fly to each site to complete your objective and may be required to perform work overnight while the business is closedThe Customer Engineer is responsible forNCR Voyix assets that will be used in the delivery of customer services (e.g. tools, software, documentation, and intellectual property)Maintaining parts inventory records and appropriate parts levelsAccurate and prompt reporting of calls and activity is required, as well as other reporting as needed. This includes tracking and reporting all expenses incurred in the delivery of services, private automobile, and/or public transportationTesting, running, and terminating network keystone jacks, patch panels, and cablesInstallation of Complex Point of Sale Hardware and software solutions as a solo technician, lead technician or assist technicianThis position requires the ability toTravel and to work on rotating shifts, including overnight installationsSafely use an OSHA-approved ladder up to 12 feet to install equipmentOperate and work from a platform liftSit in an automobile, train, or plane for extended periodsUse electric, cordless, and hand tools frequentlyPhysical RequirementsCarrying and lifting tools and parts of varying weights (1- 50 lbs.) frequently, including up or down multiple stairs and floors as neededBending/squatting/crawling and walking/standing for prolonged periods (8-10 hours)Ability to work in crawl spaces/atticsAbility to work with arms/hands extended overhead frequentlyLifting of objects up to 100 lbs or more occasionally

Basic Qualifications and Skills

High School Diploma or equivalentOne to three years of proven related experienceWork well with minimal supervision and have good problem-solving skillsThe ability to:Pick up new skills quicklyWork under pressureMeet deadlines and produce high-quality workExcellent interpersonal skills/customer relationship skills requiredHigh level of personal integrity; Support and promote teamwork and cooperative effortsBasic computer skills and common software knowledge, including basics of Windows OSCore competencies in the safe usage of power and hand tools, as well as drilling common surfaces to mount equipment on walls, countertops, and ceilingsMust have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, overtime, flex shifts, on-call, and travelValid Driver’s LicenseReliable TransportationAbility to pass Criminal Background ChecksAbility to pass DMB Background ChecksAbility to pass Credit Checks for a Company AMEX

Desired Experience

Previous experience with POS systems or in hospitality environments a plusProven hardware installation, troubleshooting, and PC Maintenance ExperienceLow Voltage cabling skills and knowledge of industry best practicesAbility to configure and troubleshoot basic network configuration

Salary Range:

$46,400.00 - $69,600.00
