Position Overview:
Works cross functionally with category development, new business development, and sales teams plan and execute meaningful & interactive world class engagements with Newell customers at our CustomerEngagement Center (CEC) Manages the overall ‘day-to-day’ operations of assigned event May also assist with supporting sales meetings and events for the company and/or sales teams including senior leadership up to C-level Responsible for managing the CEC venue, logistics, and schedule of meetings, as well as for ensuring that the meeting objectives and requests are met in a timely and efficient manner Communicates with engagement point person and vendors to understand the goals and expectations of the meeting/events Develops and manages the timeline, contracts, and vendor(s) for the meetings Provides data & input to assist manager in budget development and management, and adheres to set budget for meetings Processes requisite OARs, POs, and related paperwork Identifies, recommends, and schedules catering, transportation, and other needs for the meeting Ensures meeting spaces are set and prepared as requested by the engagement point person (complete & on-time) Coordinates and supervises the set-up, execution, and break-down of each meeting Evaluates and reports on success and areas of improvements for each meeting Supports customer meeting planning as directed by supervisor Familiar with Building Codes and acts as Liaison with Building Ops personnel Defines and manages CEC event calendar Executes risk assessment and crisis management strategies; complying with all appropriate regulations Performs physical inventory audits to ensure assets are current and recommends updates as needed Uses appropriate decision-making and approval processes in a timely manner Acts upon recommendations to streamline and simplify event management processes

Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years previous event experience - Superior Event Planning and Logistics Management Skills Superior communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills Proficient in Windows Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint Adept at creative thinking and problem solving Strong ability to multitask and be flexible under complex scenarios Self-starter who has a bias toward action, taking initiative to proactively identify issues or conflicts
