Job DescriptionProvide mechanical engineering support for the design and development of manufactured automotive airflow componentsFacilitate and participate in Internal and External Design ReviewsReleases system and subsystem parts to meet timing requirements with qualitySupports current product change management processesDevelop, refine, and finalize Criteria and Typical SectionsSupport CAE with studies to improve designsSupport the Global Vehicle Development Process and the math fidelity for each cycleIndependently integrate component subsystem design into systemsPerform appropriate evaluations and studies and participates in continuous improvement.Proactively communicates effectively with all stakeholders.Provide application expertise through technical sales visits at customers.Manage and coordinate project assignments with the Sales and Engineering Teams to meet specific customer requirements. Transfer projects to the Engineering teams through clear communication of customer technical requirements.Support customer launch activities, as necessary.Provide initial evaluation of quality concerns at local customer facilities, transfer information and insights to the Quality Department for full coordinated response.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Engineering (any), Product Design, or related field of study, and 5 years of work experience in the job offered or any related Engineering occupation. Employer will also accept a Master’s degree in Engineering (any), Product Design, or related field, and 2 years of work experience in the job offered or any related Engineering occupation.
