Summary

The Long-Range Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing the Customer team’s strategic planning process and developing long-term, multi-year strategies to ensure growth and sustainability. This role requires a deep understanding of business operations, market trends, and financial analysis to formulate robust plans that align with Customer & Marketing objectives. It plays a crucial role in shaping the future direction of the organization through thoughtful analysis, strategic foresight, and effective communication. This position offers an opportunity to influence decision-making at the highest levels and drive sustainable growth and profitability.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning: Lead the development of long-range strategic plans in collaboration with senior management and key members. Translate company goals into actionable plans with clear objectives and turning points. Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and threats. Use this information to recommend pivotal initiatives and adjustments to long-term plans. Financial Modeling: Develop financial models to assess the feasibility and potential outcomes of pivotal initiatives. Evaluate investment opportunities, cost implications, and financial forecasts to support decision-making. Risk Management: Assess risks associated with long-term plans and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics to anticipate challenges and opportunities. Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics and key performance indicators to track progress against strategic objectives. Regularly review performance data and prepare reports for senior management to facilitate informed decision-making. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with departments across the organization, including finance, operations, marketing, and sales, to gather input, align strategies, and ensure implementation of long-term plans. Communication and Presentation: Present strategic plans, findings, and recommendations to leadership and executives. Clearly communicate complex information and strategic insights to key members at all levels of the company. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry standard methodologies, market trends, and technological advancements. Recommend process improvements and refinements to enhance the effectiveness of the long-range planning process.

Qualifications

5+ years of related experience. Previous experience in financial analysis and market research is highly desirable. Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, with the ability to interpret data and trends to inform strategic decisions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and influence key members. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive consensus in decision-making processes.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a similar field. Master’s degree preferred.
