Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Customer Navigator in Palo Alto, California. As a Customer Navigator, you will serve as a crucial link between the healthcare facility and its patients, providing assistance, managing appointments, and ensuring a smooth customer service experience.
Responsibilities:
• Provide a personal connection to the hospital for patients, families, and visitors through on-site and telephonic customer service.
• Act as a non-clinical liaison, offering assistance to patients before, during, and after their encounter with the medical facility.
• Attend to patients, their families and visitors entering the hospital and clinics, offering clear verbal and written instructions, directions, and escorts to their destinations.
• Facilitate the scheduling of physician appointments and care during in-patient and out-patient stays, assisting in navigating the healthcare system.
• Communicate patient and guest concerns to the appropriate department for facilitation and record summary when necessary.
• Provide information about campus shuttles to assist with transportation of guests to and from the hospital and other clinics.
• Maintain adherence to safety and quality programs, sustaining compliance with National Patient Safety Goals.
• Participate in ongoing education and training related to customer service, patients' rights, and ethical treatment.
• Supervise and provide guidance to a team of volunteers, ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained.
• Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and other database tools for efficient scheduling and record keeping. Requirements • Should possess excellent customer service skills to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential to effectively convey information and address customer concerns
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is required for data management and document creation
• Demonstrated ability to provide training to team members and customers
• Experience in scheduling appointments and overseeing schedules to ensure smooth operations
• Knowledge of compliance regulations and standards is crucial for maintaining organizational integrity
• Quality assurance abilities to ensure service standards are consistently met
• Familiarity with database management to organize and retrieve customer information efficiently
• Supervising skills to oversee the performance and productivity of the team
• Knowledge of 'About Time' software for efficient time tracking and management
• Understanding of medical coverage policies to assist customers with their healthcare inquiries
• Leadership skills to guide, motivate, and support the team
• Knowledge of security protocols to protect customer data and maintain confidentiality
• Proficiency in English language for clear and effective communication
• Facility management skills to ensure a conducive work environment
• Ability to act as a liaison between the customers and the organization, facilitating effective communication
• Experience in public relations to maintain a positive image of the organization
• Familiarity with best practices in customer service to deliver high-quality service
• Capability to execute tasks efficiently within specified timeframes
• Understanding of confidentiality protocols to handle sensitive customer data responsibly
• Teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and achieve common goals
• Knowledge of component selection to guide customers in making informed decisions
