Customer Planning Manager

As a Customer Planning Manager, you will be the first line of contact for our customer site teams and external customers. You’ll ensure orders are entered for Auto OEM facilities to receive the right product and color at the right time. You will lead a team that manages orders until it ships from the facility and will work directly with other teams such as Supply Chain, Operations and Shipping departments to ensure on-time delivery for all customer accounts.  You will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager and manage OEM/Tier customer accounts alongside our Sales and Optima Solutions team to solve customer service-related problems and implement corrective action plans when needed to ensure Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost KPI goals are achieved. You will work onsite in Cleveland, OH.

Main Responsibilities:

Lead a team of Customer Planning Leads and Coordinators and oversee their performance, goals, and development to improve upon team capabilities.Manage order entry process and adherence of business rules for all customer orders entered in Oracle, including late order tracking.Review and manage daily priority list, communicate critical orders and complete product file maintenance.Build relationships with the Commercial, Technical, Scheduling, Manufacturing and Shipping teams to meet customer needs including on-time shipments.Provide leadership to drive resolutions and corrective action plans where needed.Optimize and right size Finished Goods inventory levels and usage for each customer accounts to ensure supply is available but not in excess at warehouse to ship on time to customer to avoid run out.Lead team through continuous improvement projects and training for team members ensuring standard work and SOPs are documented to meet IATF and ISO standards.Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Customer Planning and Supply Chain best practices with the ability to take on complex assignments and accounts.Perform all other Supply Chain or customer service-related tasks to support the changing needs of the business including being willing to back-up other job areas including supply chain planning and customer planner responsibilities.

Qualifications:

BS/BA in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Marketing, or business-related field4+ years of experience in a complex customer service (retail or call center experience is not applicable) or supply chain environment required and 2+ years of leadership experienceFirst-hand experience managing and evaluating inventory in MRP, MS Teams, or Excel spreadsheets. Oracle, SAP, or other ERP system experience preferredExperience with Microsoft programs such as Power BI is preferred
