A day in the life:Receive and action allocated customer requests, including sourcing, negotiation, item creation, discontinuance, reactivation, or maintenance. Determine the priority of the request to successfully implement it into the current workload.Collaborate with suppliers and other functions to ensure the accurate and timely implementation of product additions. Prioritize and structure workload to strictly adhere to daily system limitations.Negotiate with suppliers to ensure price, product quality, and service requirements are met in a timely fashion. Strive for the best purchase price for Fisher Scientific where appropriate.Ensure customers provide the correct information for every request to enable efficient processing.Serve as a subject matter expert on processes and work instructions critical to daily responsibilities. Ensure process adherence by other departments.Adhere to all documented governance and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent and accurate product data changes through both manual and automated processes.Manage the new item creation process by collaborating with other functions to ensure accurate and timely implementation of new products into the mainframe.Implement changes to product data attributes in the ERP system accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring appropriate approvals are received.Maintain complete and accurate product information on behalf of business owners for input into IBS in accordance with SLAs and business rules. Use appropriate templates and follow established processes approved by governance.Maintain the integrity of the portfolio within the Fisher system to ensure efficient processes.Generate supplier numbers by filling out the required forms on the Fisher system. Ensure accurate data capture and collaborate with Finance and Data teams.Set up new suppliers and assist in negotiating discounts and trading terms for designated suppliers, articulating the Fisher value proposition effectively.Ensure departmental critical metrics for turnaround times and delivery performances are met.Communicate and collaborate openly with internal and external customers regarding requests, issue resolution, and data integrity, specifically with Portfolio Management, Purchasing, Regulatory, Inventory Planning, and IT.Work with Data Architects to find opportunities for process automation or optimization and make sure procedures and work instructions are updated when process changes are made.Drive internal process improvement through active use of the PPI Business Systems.Actively participate in Governance activities and ensure the use of Governance when appropriate.Perform other projects and duties as delegated and assigned by the manager.Act at all times in accordance with the Dignity at Work Policy, Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, and our values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.The Keys to success:Proven experience or a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.Proven customer service or supplier negotiation experience.Strong technical skills, including proficient knowledge of Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and Cognos.Ability to work under tight deadlines and demonstrate flexibility with priorities.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with management regarding progress and deadlines.Ability to work independently as well as effectively in a team environment.Capacity to learn new technologies and self-train when appropriate.Excellent negotiation skills.Demonstrable organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and attention to detail.Maintain a comprehensive understanding of local processes and procedures necessary to complete the role.Bi-lingual capabilities depending on the countries being supported.Strong desire to serve the customer.What we offer:
