What we want
The Customer Service Associate III is responsible for overseeing daily operations and activities in the bookstore and mall and provides oversight support for the copy center.

Required Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Three years of related experience in accounting, administration, or general office.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
+ Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
+ Planning and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
+ Knowledge of Concur, Workday, FAMIS and other TAMUS software, budgeting.

Essential Duties/Tasks
+ BOOKSTORE DUTIES - Handles daily Bookstore activities and ensures compliance with Bookstore procedures. University Roles and System policies, including cash handling, reconciliations and opening/closing procedures. Ensures highest level of customer service is practiced. Supervises Bookstore Customer Service Assistant. Responsible for ordering, receiving, stocking and displaying inventory for resale. Ensures new inventory is accurately entered in the store s point for sale system. Creatively develops sales promotions and communicates them to the campus community. Manage the on-line bookstore at www.tamugbookstore.com, including monitoring web inventory, providing web content (photos etc)., processing orders and interfacing with technical support staff of contracted web site vendor. Oversees and trains backup support staff for bookstore website. Interviews, hires, trains and supervises student workers. Assists in the preparation of annual inventory, including preparing stock, ordering equipment and coordinating staff.
+ MAILROOM DUTIES - Supervise two full time staff with daily mailroom activities, including pick up/drop off of mail at U.S. Post Office, daily mail runs to campus, processing packages and sorting/metering of all campus mail. Ensure highest level of customer service is practiced. Ensures staff are trained in mail room processes, including bulk mail, metering, reconciliations and mail forwards/returns. Ensures that funds are available in mailroom postage meter and, when needed, processes paperwork for additional funds.
+ SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND OTHER - Secondary Responsibilities: Acts on behalf of Director in his/her absence and as requested in all areas. Serves as Bookstore back-up for processing textbook orders, returns to wholesalers and publishers, annual/sick leave, payroll and FAMIS endpoint of sale data entry. Serves as departmental accountable property officer for capital inventory. Serves on University committees as necessary. Participates in the selection of new staff. Other duties as assigned.
