Job Overview:
We are seeking Customer Service Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for safely maintaining/servicing (with occasionally installing/removing) of various types of bulk liquid and gaseous cryogenic supply systems (Nitrogen, Argon, Oxygen, CO2, and Hydrogen).
Individual will be requiredto respond to service calls as well as performing supply system inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned accounts. This will require continuous compliance of all company/industry specific safety policies, without exception.
Has the experience and be able to communicate/correspond professionally with counterparts, customers, vendors, and Linde sales department.
Be proficient in with the following: Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet searches, smart phones and tablet data entry devices.
Tech typically works an 8 hour per day and will on call 24 hours unless scheduled off. All work is outdoors in all-weather all year long.
Day travel required with the occasional overnight stay, utilizing Linde issued service vehicle, in the following areas: Indianapolis, IN area and the surrounding counties in the Midwest territory. Applicant must be capable of operating service vehicle and have a clean driving record, with knowledge in the practice of defensive driving technique.
Applicant must display habits such as being a self-starter, capable of multitasking, possess time management skills, and capable of planning their overall work order priorities. Already displays the ability to communicate professionally with management, sales, the call center, and customers.
Candidates will train at the Linde National Training Center, located in East Chicago, Indiana as well as on the job training from senior technicians.Training consists of several one-week college level courses in a classroom format that require completion of prerequisites prior to actual training class. This will require overnight stays for the duration of the class.

Requirements:
The following experience and core competencies would be highly beneficial for this position:
Being able to read prints, understand PID's, materials of construction, layout and installation drawings.Instruct and supervise outside personnel, such as: crane, electrical, and mechanical contractors.Brazing, soldering, pipefitting, and/or TIG-MIG and stick welding.Electrical trouble shooting capabilities.Troubleshooting/service experience/knowledge of: regulators, solenoids, check valves, different types of mechanical valves (both manual and automatic/solenoid), gas analyzers, piping and fittings, pressure relief devices, and rupture discs, honest and trustworthy.Familiarization with various cryogenic storage vacuum systems, mixers, and vaporizersCapable of troubleshooting reciprocating and centrifugal pump systems, analysis pump electrical control panels.Knowledgeable regarding pressure testing procedures.Knowledgeable regarding the cleaning procedures for components in oxygen service.Maintain stock of needed parts and supplies for service vehicle.
