ResponsibilitiesOur Customer Service Pharmacy Technician coordinates communication between pharmacy, providers and facilities while resolving prescription issues in a timely, efficient, courteous, responsive, reliable, and respectful manner.
This person will:
Answer and submit inquiries regarding patient information and medication therapiesTake requests for refill orders, out on pass, patient discharge orders, and special delivery requests Assist the pharmacist with facility and physician office communications Obtain patient information for our database by calling patient care representatives and physician officesUtilize judgement in knowing when to escalate issues to the management levelUtilize various programs such as Outlook, Excel and Microsoft WordComplete assigned projects upon request in a timely manner Perform other tasks as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is requiredOne year of previous experience with direct client communication - customer servicePrior healthcare/pharmacy experience preferredStrong computer and data entry skillsMust have good oral communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred About our Line of Business PharMerica is a full-service pharmacy solution providing value beyond medication.
