Responsibilities Our Customer Service Pharmacy Technician coordinates communication between pharmacy, providers and facilities while resolving prescription issues in a timely, efficient, courteous, responsive, reliable, and respectful manner. This person will: + Answer and submit inquiries regarding patient information and medication therapies + Take requests for refill orders, out on pass, patient discharge orders, and special delivery requests + Assist the pharmacist with facility and physician office communications + Obtain patient information for our database by calling patient care representatives and physician offices + Utilize judgement in knowing when to escalate issues to the management level + Utilize various programs such as Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Word + Complete assigned projects upon request in a timely manner + Perform other tasks as assigned Qualifications + High school diploma or equivalent is required + One year of previous experience with direct client communication - customer service + Prior healthcare/pharmacy experience preferred + Strong computer and data entry skills + Must have good oral communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills + Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred About our Line of Business PharMerica is a full-service pharmacy solution providing value beyond medication.
