Customer Service Representative
Job Title: Sales Support RepresentativeJob Description The Sales Support Representative will be responsible for providing essential support to the sales team by entering, tracking, and expediting orders, processing customer and account source documents, and maintaining accurate information in our system. The role involves close interaction with various internal departments and external processors to ensure efficient order handling and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities + Enter, track, and expedite orders, releasing material for shipment. + Process customer and account source documents/orders. + Verify entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data. + Resolve discrepancies using standard procedures or by returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution. + Communicate via email and telephone with customers to handle orders, inquiries, and follow-up promptly and professionally. + Liaise and collaborate with Order Entry, Sales, Logistics Staff, Management, and outside processors as needed. + Interact with internal departments and outside processors as needed. + Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and usable information in the system. + Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, including continuous quality improvement objectives and safety and environmental guidelines. + Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. + Utilize the Customer Portal to set up agents and customers so they can place orders themselves. Essential Skills + Customer service and support experience. + Proficiency in order entry and processing. + Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP. + High School Diploma. + Excellent typing and data entry skills. + Strong organizational skills. + Attention to detail and confidentiality. + Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook. + Basic computer software and hardware knowledge, including faxing, printers, and internet. + Excellent communication skills. + Dependability, reliability, and self-motivation. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Degree or continued education in business administration or relevant office duties is a plus. + Previous industry experience. + Experience with CRM software, preferably Salesforce.com. + Excellent oral and written communication skills. Work Environment The work environment includes an 8 am - 5 pm shift within a cubicle office setting. The office is not the most modern but provides a collaborative atmosphere with a team of up to 7 members at full capacity.
