Primary Responsibilities:\n\nProvides excellent customer service; greets customers and inquires as to their financial needs.\nOpens new accounts and cross sells products and services, performing routine account maintenance when necessary.\nPerforms and completes in an efficient and courteous manner the teller servicing of transactions deposits, withdrawals, payments on loans and check cashing within the established policies and procedures. Backs-up the teller line as necessary.\nComply and stay up to date with all laws, regulations, bank policies, and procedures.\n\n

Your Day to Day as a Customer Service Representative\n

As a Full-Time Customer Service Representative at Mercantile Bank, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional sales and service through high levels of customer interaction. Your responsibilities include greeting customers, identifying their financial needs, and providing tailored solutions by opening new accounts and cross-selling products and services. With an in-depth knowledge of our offerings, you'll match customer needs with appropriate bank products while striving to meet or exceed branch sales goals through qualified referrals. Additionally, you will log customer interactions into the Mercantile Customer Relationship System (360 View) while performing transactions such as deposits and withdrawals efficiently and courteously. As a collaborative team player, you will assist management with operational and compliance tasks, reinforce risk management procedures with tellers, and contribute to an engaging, customer-focused environment.\n
