Join us as a Customer Service Representative in our Kansas City, KS Facility. 

 

Primary responsibility for customer care, supporting $70M in annual sales; providing solutions to drive sales growth.  Effectively coordinating internal activities and external customers’ expectations to ensure superior customer service.  This position will help build sustainable processes to improve customer care, anticipating and providing solutions for sales opportunities.  Duties include answering customer inquiries, expediting orders, processing order changes, processing credit & debit memos, and otherwise servicing Pentair’s distributor community.  

 

Location Description: 

Pentair’s Kansas City business is leading manufacturer of custom and engineered to order pumps for commercial, fire, industrial and infrastructure markets for both water and wastewater applications.  Pumps include, vertical turbine and vertical turbine fire, solids handling and submersible solids handling, vertical turbine solids handling, propeller, vortex and ANSI pumps 

 

What’s in it for you? 

The anticipated hourly pay range for this role is: $28 - $31/hr. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range.  Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location.  Actual compensation will be determined by considering demonstrable level of experience, skills, knowledge, and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs. Eligibility for annual pay increases based on company & individual performance 11 paid holidays each year 2 weeks of vacation to start (accrued weekly) prorated based on date of hire Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Up to 5% 401k match starting day one of employment 

Position Hours/Shift: 

1st Shift:  7:00am – 4:00pm Monday – Friday (all onsite) 

More details about the opportunity: 

Primary contact for all Pentair, Kansas City’s Distributor and Sales network. Provide day-to-day problem resolution; effectively communicating by phone and email. Manage incoming email, providing timely responses. Coordinate information between customers and internal departments (Engineering, Purchasing, Scheduling, & Production Planning) to meet customer expectations.  Assist with order entry process, for assigned orders, to ensure accuracy and understanding, working closely with Customers, Engineering, and Sourcing on special order requirements.Work with internal management & personnel to expedite orders at customer’s request.Work closely with logistics relative to delivery instructions and expediting. Strong working relationship and interface with cross-functional departments.  Perform other tasks and duties as assigned. Assist with International business as needed. 

 

Skills and Experience Requirements: 

Associate’s degree preferred. 0 – 5 years’ experience in customer service / sales / marketing environment. Proficient in use of MS Office products.  Ability to prioritize, exercise good judgment, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work under pressure. Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Works well in an energetic team environment. Displays a pleasant, friendly style, and a professional image. Demonstrates integrity and ethical standards.
