Position Description
Receives and responds to oral and written patient account inquiries. This position requires the exercise of courtesy and patience to maintain positive patient relations.
Position Requirements
REQUIRED:
1. a. One (1) year experience in customer service in a medical business environment (hospital, insurance company, doctor’s office), medical collections, or related field, OR b. Associate’s Degree in Business. 2. Good verbal communication skills. 3. Typing requirement 30 WPM
PREFERRED:
1. B.S. degree in Business or Accounting. 2. Basic knowledge of hospital terminology applicable to patient billing. 3. Two (2) years experience in customer service, collections, or related field. 4. CPAR-Certified Patient Account Representative (HFMA Georgia) 5. Bilingual skills preferred.
