Customer Service Representative
Job Title: Shipper Support (RGM Team) Job Description As a Shipper Support (RGM), you will act as a Gate Agent supporting thousands of drivers across the country. Using two-way audio/video communication, you will verify and identify necessary specifications on trucks and processes. You will coordinate, communicate, and provide updates daily to all parties involved in the arrival, loading, unloading, and departure at warehouses, facilities, and distribution centers. We seek candidates who are extremely detail-oriented, can work in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency, are quick learners, and are technically savvy. Responsibilities + Support thousands of drivers daily using two-way audio/video communication. + Verify and identify necessary specifications on trucks and processes. + Coordinate, communicate, and provide updates on arrival, loading, unloading, and departure at warehouses, facilities, and distribution centers. + Manage all gate operations to allow onsite associates to focus on daily operations. + Communicate clearly and effectively with approximately 200 drivers daily. Essential Skills + Excellent customer service skills and awareness. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office. + Strong phone etiquette. + Technical savvy with logistics, intermodal, and supply chain knowledge. + Call center, communication, and people skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 1+ year of high-volume (Call Center) customer support experience. + Strong job tenure. + Experience in retail customer service from companies such as Starbucks or the restaurant industry. + Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP) and strong problem-solving skills. + Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and keyboard shortcuts. + Ability to multi-task, work on multiple projects simultaneously, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. Work Environment Training is in person/on-site for 3 weeks (M-F), 8am - 4:30pm. After training, the schedule is TBD, but candidates must be open to working 5 days a week, any day of the week, including weekends. The current team works from 7:30am - 6:00pm, 6 days per week, for mandatory extra time. Regular schedules before mandatory extra time were 6am - 2:30pm or 8:30am - 5:00pm. Shifts can cover any hours from 6am - 6pm (10-hour shifts) after training. This role is onsite 5 days per week with no work-from-home or hybrid options. Overtime is necessary from October through January. Candidates must be open to working holidays and flexible with shift patterns, including Thursday - Monday, Friday - Tuesday, Saturday - Wednesday, Wednesday - Sunday, or Monday - Friday (with limited availability for M-F shifts). Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
