Description We are providing an opportunity for a Customer Service Specialist in the industry located in Newark, California. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be tasked with handling customer inquiries via telephone and email, managing customer accounts, and ensuring the smooth running of our department's operations. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Efficiently manage inbound and outbound calls, faxes, and other communication with patients, providers, and clinic staff. • Coordinate patient care by scheduling, editing, and maintaining routine appointments for new and returning patients. • Accurately document and route calls to the appropriate department. • Identify urgent customer needs or operational issues and escalate them as necessary. • Collaborate with care teams, patients, and external facilities to obtain necessary information required for care. • Update and maintain insurance information. • Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards. • Deliver a high level of customer service and follow documented protocols and guidelines. • Use reference documents and online knowledgebase tools to provide accurate information about services. • Utilize the functionality of the telephone system as required. • Perform other departmental duties as assigned.
