Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Job Description

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team in North Haven, CT. This role involves interacting with customers to provide information about our products and services, handle and resolve complaints, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will work in a modern 220,000 sq. foot facility that houses our factory, laboratory, and office space.

ResponsibilitiesDirect customer contact by phone, fax, mail, or electronic mail in all areas relating to inquiries, order entry, including online sales and status, pricing, product availability, scheduling, delivery dates, packaging, and shipping.Process warranty transactions.Inform customers of current promotions and specials.Maintain sales records including invoices, credit information, and shipping records.Work with inventory control, production, and shipping personnel to confirm delivery dates or track missing/delayed shipments.Consult with outside sales representatives/managers on customers' behalf.Communicate effectively with customers, outside salespersons, and internal personnel.Work with accounting department receivables and collections disputing fines from large retailers.Manage the RGA process due to customer complaints.Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.Perform other similar or related duties as required or directed.Essential SkillsExperience with customer support, ideally within a manufacturing industry.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.Strong phone presence.Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.Effective communication skills with customers and internal teams.Experience with order entry and data management.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required.Ability to walk, sit, talk, and hear frequently.Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in group situations.Technical skills to assess strengths and weaknesses and share expertise.Ability to write clearly and informatively.Commitment to quality management and organizational support.Adaptability to changes in the work environment.Consistent attendance and punctuality.Dependability in following instructions and taking responsibility for actions.Initiative in seeking increased responsibilities.Focus on safety and security procedures.Experience with AS400 and EDI programs is helpful but not mandatory.Strong communication skills, particularly in English; Spanish language skills are a plus.Work Environment

This role is based in an office setting within a manufacturing facility. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 1st shift, totaling 40 hours per week. The work environment is professional and requires maintaining a clean and orderly workspace while adhering to safety rules and regulations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00
