Customer Service Representative
Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in Richmond, Virginia. This role is integral to our local government operation and requires on-site presence. As a Customer Service Representative, you will handle customer inquiries, maintain detailed records, and manage customer accounts with precision and professionalism. Responsibilities: • Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls on a daily basis. • Address customer inquiries related to their accounts and utility questions. • Maintain detailed and accurate customer account records. • Enter and update customer data in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. • Schedule appointments as per customer needs. • Process customer credit applications promptly and accurately. • Engage in email correspondence with customers to resolve their queries. • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when required. • Serve as the initial point of contact for customers. • Manage order entries with precision and accuracy. Requirements • Proficient in answering inbound calls, managing high call volumes with tact and detail orientation. • Must have prior experience in call center customer service, demonstrating excellent communication and problem-solving skills. • Strong customer service skills required, with the ability to handle customer queries and complaints effectively. • Capable of performing data entry tasks with high accuracy and attention to detail. • Must be able to manage email correspondence, responding to customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner. • Experience with both inbound and outbound calls, demonstrating adaptability and efficiency. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, capable of creating spreadsheets, entering data, and performing basic computations. • Skilled in Microsoft Word, able to create, format, and edit documents as required. • Must have experience in order entry, ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and promptly. • Ability to schedule appointments, manage calendars, and maintain organized records.
