Customer Service Representative
Description We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to be a part of our team in the Import/Export industry, based in Wilmington, North Carolina. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be immersed in a role that revolves around managing customer interactions, data entry tasks, and logistics operations. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Interact with customers to handle complaints, process orders, and provide information about our products and services • Use computer systems to record customer details and process transactions • Operate basic office equipment as part of daily tasks • Utilize Microsoft Office suite to maintain and update customer records • Handle logistics-related tasks and take necessary actions based on customer accounts status • Train and adapt to the specific requirements of working within the logistics domain of the Import/Export industry • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining our company's reputation for excellent service • Ensure accurate and efficient data entry, updating customer credit applications and records accordingly. Requirements • Proficiency in using basic office equipment such as printers, fax machines, and scanners • Demonstrated ability in basic office skills, including filing, scheduling, and correspondence • Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on resolving customer queries and complaints efficiently • Proven experience in computer data entry, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and speed • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Knowledge of import/export industry, with an understanding of its regulations and procedures • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Willingness to work in a team environment as well as independently when required • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a related field is a plus • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the import/export industry, is highly desirable TalentMatch® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
