This position is responsible for interfacing with Saint-Gobain ADFORS (SG ADFORS) customers on a continuous basis. The primary focus is responding to customer inquiries including requests for pricing, technical information, order placement, requests for order status including schedules and shipment information. Technical and commercial knowledge are essential requirements in addition to an understanding of SG ADFORS products and product functionality. Subsequently work with internal SG ADFORS functions including Marketing, Inventory Control, Manufacturing, Engineering, Shipping, Traffic and Production Control to develop schedules and customer ship dates.
The incumbent is responsible for maintaining professional business relationships with customers and field representatives. This position requires a working knowledge of computer systems to organize data and run customer reports. This person will be responsible for pricing customer orders in accordance with pricing guidelines that are consistent with company objectives.
The Customer Service Representative will work closely with the Finance department to help facilitate the timely payment of invoices by customers. This person will work to resolve payment issues to the mutual satisfaction of both SG ADFORS and the customer. The incumbent will also be responsible for following Company procedures to obtain credit clearances, progress payments, certifications of origin, certified invoices, and other documentation required to process and ship customer orders.
