The Customer Service Representative role for Lester Building Systems combines order entry, quoting, and order scheduling. This position will work with Lester Sales Representatives (Dealers, Area Managers and Territory Managers) to create and prepare price quotes for complex proposals in IMPROV (Lester Buildings proprietary software) while following Lester pricing policies and maintaining project margins. This position will also audit incoming orders to ensure Lester pricing policies have been followed and thereby maintain project margins. These sales orders will be entered into Lester’s ERP system (Epicor) for the creation of drawings, manufacturing and delivery scheduling while ensuring effective communication amongst key stakeholders throughout the process. The Customer Service Representative’s secondary responsibility is to provide feedback to the development team and the supervisor of Order Management about issues, problems, and improvements regarding policies, procedures, products, and software.
Primary Responsibilities:
Analyze project requirements, read blueprints and prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor and other expenses.Communicate effectively with customers to clarify order details, provide quotes, and address any questions or concerns regarding pricing specifics. Accurately enter customer orders into the system, ensuring all details are correct and complete.Work closely with sales, production, and shipping teams to ensure orders are processed efficiently and delivered on time. Maintain accurate records of estimates, orders, and customer interactions. Provide customer support for delivered orders through case management. Identify opportunities to improve estimating and order entry processes and implement best practices. Provide customer support for delivered orders through case management. Initial scheduling of the order key dates including ship date and drawing dates.Qualifications
An associate or bachelor’s degree in a construction related field is a plus.Previous 2-3 years or more experience in construction estimating, order entry or related role is required. Experience with AutoCAD and reading blueprints is necessary.Strong attention to detail and accuracy is critical.Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary.The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-tasking is required.The ability to work independently and as a team member.Willingness to learn Lester specific pricing software and programs.Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred.Salary Range
Hourly salary of $22.00 to $28.00.
The specific compensation offered to a candidate varies by several factors including relevant work experience, education, certifications and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of this salary range. The employee is eligible for approved overtime and company profit sharing potential.
