Job Title: Customer Service Representative/Call Center - Insurance

Job Description

This position is responsible for handling cancellations and moderate to complex inquiries, addressing various types of policies to save the policy. The role involves taking calls from internal or external customers in an efficient, professional, and accurate manner, resolving service concerns, documenting customer requests, and completing changes to policies. Service to customers may include inbound/outbound calls, incoming correspondence, other communications sources, and call transfers for service transactions.

ResponsibilitiesAssist with customer product retention.Review coverages and save policies as a licensed representative.Resolve routine, complex, and unique questions/issues.Ensure facilitation of first call resolution and customer satisfaction on all transactions handled.Employ probing questions and actively listen to customer issues or questions, showing interest, compassion, and empathy.Demonstrate accuracy in processing changes to customer policies based on the information provided and identify opportunities for cross sales (if applicable).Maintain a working knowledge of insurance policies and related processes and procedures.Handle requests regarding customer documentation, clearly explain them, and manage any required follow-ups or updates.Stay current on new marketing campaigns to respond appropriately to marketing-related inquiries using all available resources.Input and track data into the appropriate databases.Essential Skills2-3 years of call center experience preferred.2-3 years of Life & Health sales experience preferred.High school diploma or equivalent experience.Must be licensed in 50% states.AK AL AR AZ CA CO CT DC DE FL GA HI IA ID IL IN KS KY LA MA MD ME MI MN MO MS MT NC ND NE NM NV OH OK OR PA SC SD TN TX UT VA WI WV WYAbility to present your NPN or Agent License Number during the interview.Require a Life & Health license based on business unit requirements.Additional Skills & QualificationsLife & Health insurance experience is preferred.Excellent computer skills, including typing proficiency, multi-tasking between online applications, and working knowledge of Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, folders).Flexible and adaptable to business requirements for changes needed to service the customer.Collaborate with peers and management on special projects and committees.Good time management skills.Ability to prioritize and multi-task.Comfortable with making cold calls as a 'Welcome to the company' and requesting information.Work Environment

This is a home-based position with a work schedule of Monday to Friday from 9am to 8pm EST. The role requires the use of a company-provided laptop.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
