Customer Service Representative I
Description We are actively searching for a Customer Service Representative I to join our team in BALTIMORE, Maryland. This role is primarily focused on providing top-notch customer service, including responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues related to impounded vehicles. As a central point of contact for our customers, you are expected to provide accurate and timely information to facilitate and expedite the return, auction, or disposal of their vehicles. Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive information to customers regarding required procedures and documents for vehicle release, auction, or disposal. • Carefully review official forms such as police reports, towing receipts, and inventory control forms for completeness and consistency. • Validate customer documents such as vehicle registration, driver’s license, and insurance coverage for validity and authenticity. • Determine the necessary documentation and procedures to authorize the release, auction, or disposal of vehicles based on specific impoundment circumstances. • Utilize the Department of Motor Vehicle database to ascertain the existence of liens on the vehicle or outstanding parking or moving violation tickets. • Assist in scheduling administrative hearings required to resolve disputes regarding impounded vehicles. • Perform data entry tasks as required to maintain accurate customer and vehicle records. • Collaborate with team members to ensure that all customer issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner. • Continually enhance your knowledge of impoundment policies, city ordinances, and state laws pertaining to the impoundment of vehicles. • Perform related tasks as required to support the overall customer service function. Requirements • Entry-level position; no prior experience required • Ability to assist customers in a friendly and detail-oriented manner • Proficiency in data entry, with keen attention to detail and accuracy • Demonstrated skills in problem resolution, with a customer-centric approach • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask • Must be adaptable and able to handle different customer personalities • Basic computer skills and familiarity with CRM systems and practices • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment • High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree from a recognized institution will be a plus TalentMatch® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
