Job Purpose

The Customer Service Representative works onsite to establish and maintain a working relationship with NSB and EnerSys clients, both domestic and international.  As the initial impression to the clients, the Customer Service Rep strives to continuously provide service that exceeds the client’s expectations by responding promptly to inquiries, fulfilling orders and ensuring the orders are received by the client in a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Process customer orders daily from order receipt through shipping Monitor production order schedules. Works closely with Sales, Engineering, Finance, Purchasing, Scheduling, Shipping and Production teams. Report KPI’s daily and support EOS/MDI Respond to or resolve customer questions, comments, and concerns. Receive and process all customer purchase orders and subsequent changes within multiple operating systems for both domestic and international customer shipments. Maintain detailed files for documentation. Investigate and process replacement requests per company procedures. Prepare small packages for shipment to various sales reps or customers as needed. Work with independent sales reps to maintain high customer satisfaction. Provide lead times and freight estimates to customers.

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Attend/host weekly Customer Focused meetings with Ops and supply chain teams. Support the supply chain team

Qualifications Professional appearance, neatly groomed, exercises appropriate personal hygiene Proficient knowledge with MRP/ERP/EDI systems Attention to detail and accuracy with strong follow up skills required Excellent problem solving skills – ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise Ability to work well in a fast paced environment and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously Must have strong organizational skills required Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills Strong and accurate data entry skills, required Skilled with Microsoft computer programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint); office computer equipment such as copiers, scanners, fax machine EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A High School Diploma or GED required. Business school, Associate’s degree or equivalent is a plus. One-year experience in customer service or sales, 2 years preferable.                                                                                                                                                                                              

Ability to wear appropriate safety equipment (personal protective equipment) as required by company policy.

General Job Requirements This position will work in an office setting, expect minimal physical demands. Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
