Customer Solutions Architecture
We are seeking a Customer Solutions Architecture to build and support the development of data and reporting solutions for the people who are powering the cloud. Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) is the team behind the cloud. Within CO+I the Integrated Planning and Execution (IPE) team drives the early-stage planning and acquisition functions that will enable the cloud of tomorrow. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be building data engineering solutions that support planning executives, analysts and program managers along with business decision making across all aspects of the planning functions within the IPE organization. The Business Intelligence and Access Control team, a core member of the Center of Excellence, is responsible for supporting the IPE organization and others in bringing together quality information that is accurate and kept fresh for the businesses and program managers consuming that information. This area supports the company’s strategic growth and execution of the Microsoft datacenter portfolio and meeting global supply and demand requirements. You will work with program managers and business stakeholders to collect requirements, with engineering partners to maintain data sources, and with your teammates to continuously improve our development practices. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond. **Responsibilities** + Build and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines to in a business-production environment. + Build and maintain success/failure pipeline monitoring through Logic Apps, Azure alerts, and Azure Incident and Change Management (ICM). Be very familiar with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) Gen2. + Perform on-call and backup on-call duties, rotating with the team on a regular basis, working incidents during this time. + Be a very experienced SQL developer, in areas such as indexing, partitioning and procedure development. + Work closely with the Business Intelligence team, program managers and stakeholders to gather detailed requirements, prioritize Azure DevOps (ADO) work items, and drive good design. + Collaborate with the Access Control team to ensure compliance and data security. + Collaborate with multiple engineering teams when building ingestion pipelines. + Drive continuous improvement through good documentation, adherence to agile methodology, and commitment to measuring success. + Be an active member of the IPE Center of Excellence by staying up to date on technology and proactively participating in efforts to document and promote Power BI best practice. + Embody our Culture (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/about/corporate-values) and Values (https://careers.microsoft.com/us/en/culture) **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field AND 2+ years experience in technical program/product management, coding, software development/delivery work + OR equivalent experience. + 1+ year(s) of customer-facing experience. **Other Requirements:** + Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check every two years thereafter.  **Preferred Qualifications:** + Demonstrated proficiency in Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL Database development. + 2+ year(s) of customer-facing experience. + Experience in Logic Apps. + Experience in Delta Lake solutions. + Experience using and administering Privileged Identity Management in the Azure portal. + Experience in creating alerts on Azure resources. Customer Solutions Architecture IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
