This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the sales and marketing activities in the Northern California / Bay Area region which includes maintaining relationships with existing customers, creating new ones and building those relationships to aid in meeting and exceeding revenue targets for the region. Working closely with the Operations/Distribution teams is vital for success in this role.
Salary range - $70K - $75K DOE
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Retain existing local retail chain and large independent business and building loyalty. Provide quarterly business action plans to address opportunities. Work closely with the field sales organization with prospecting potential new business. Sell the value proposition of partnership with Arctic Glacier. Work cross-functionally with the operations team to support customer service excellence. Assist with customer request and placement of ice merchandiser equipment. Assist with coordinating Seasonal Special Events. Support the national customer strategy on a local level with National and Super Regional Chains. Execute the significant growth pipeline that exists. Support the Region to meet and exceed annual new business targets. Additional duties may be assigned.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
Outside sales experience working with existing and prospective customers. Understands the retail landscape in the region marketplace. Experience working in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry. Extensive experience working within a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operation Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Prefer experience with a CRM platform. Proficient in Microsoft Office products.TRAVEL:
The individual will need to spend time in the markets surrounding each of our branches, Elk Grove/Yuba City, Fremont, Concord, Rohnert Park and Capitola which may require overnight stays from time to time, possibly 5-10%.
