Job Description:

Provides receptionist and clerical support in preparing, coordinating and compiling patient records, answering phones, and scheduling appointments.

As a Self-Pay Collections Specialist you need to know how to:

Maintain contact with our patient population to resolve outstanding account balancesReduce delinquency for assigned accountsArrange payment schedule, adjust insurances for billing purposes and/or request alternative methods of payment/charity fundingPerform high volume inbound and outbound phone calls for collectionsResearch accounts receivable issues as required or directedProvide excellent customer servicePromote a patient-centric approach to working medical collectionsManage accounts receivable balances for hospital billing by reducing the AR to cash and processes surrounding ARMonitor and maintain a high level of productivity and quality of work to achieve monthly self-pay collection goals

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent, requiredCommitment to excellent customer service, requiredAbility to both work independently and as an integral part of team, requiredKnowledge of billing and collection processes, preferredKnowledge of payment assistance and charity programs, preferred

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual; Spanish speaking

Physical Requirements:
