Job Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities

A Customs Brokerage Agent will be expected to ensure timely and accurate operations while providing exceptional customer service within the Brokerage Department.Ensure a smooth and timely customs process flow for all customs related activitiesDaily execution of workflow and department metricsTransfer declaration information from commercial documents, or other sources into our customs entry systemAccurate and timely data entry to allow for the build of a complete US Customs declarationBuild and maintain strong relationships with the customers and government organizationsEnsure compliance to regulations at all times, both internal and externalTrack and Trace shipments for valid data transmission to US customs and Partner Government AgenciesUnderstand customer expectation to ensure all the elements of the SOP and KPI’s are metIdentify and manage exceptions while also identifying opportunities for continuous improvementEffectively manage and organize emails for timely follow up

 

Qualifications

 

Customer Service: 6 months to 1 year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceUnderstanding of transportation documentation and terms is a plusEffective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive resultsPro-active, strong organizational skillsStrong desire to learnGood computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Fluent in EnglishCollege degree

Additional Information

Expected pay range for this position: $22.00-$25.00 per hour.
