Your role 


As a Custom Compliance Manager for the EMEA region, you will be responsible for ensuring that the company complies with all customs and trade regulations across the Region. 
You will work closely with various teams to manage customs processes, mitigate risks, and ensure efficient import/export operations and identify opportunity to reduce duty impact or improve service level.

 

Main responsibilities: 


•    Customs Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable customs laws, regulations, and trade agreements in the EMEA region. Stay updated on all regulatory changes and ensure the company adapts and align to new requirements.
•    Project Management: Lead and manage customs-related projects, ensuring timely and effective implementation.
•    Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential compliance issues.
•    Process Improvement: Implement process improvements and technology solutions to enhance customs operations and monitoring, including managing and collaborating with external consultants to drive improvements.
•    Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including customs authorities and brokers, to ensure smooth operations.
•    KPI Development: Create and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the current status and drive continuous improvement in customs compliance processes.


Main requirements:


•    Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business, Law, Supply Chain, or a related field.
•    5-7 years of experience in customs and trade compliance, with a strong background in project management.
•    In-depth knowledge of customs regulations and compliance in the EMEA region.
•    Strong project management skills.
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
•    Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Relevant certifications in customs compliance or trade management are a plus.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•    Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
•    Willingness to travel as needed.
