Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate must have experience operating plasma cutting equipment, handling steel plates, and working on both residential and commercial projects, with a focus on school construction. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various materials and tools.
ResponsibilitiesOperate plasma cutting equipment to cut steel plates and other materials according to project specifications.Handle a variety of residential and commercial projects, focusing on school construction.Utilize thumb drives and drawings to execute precise cuts.Complete jobs and palletize materials two weeks before they are needed by welders.Work with steel plates up to 96 inches, as well as smaller pieces.Move materials using overhead cranes and forklifts.Read and interpret tape measures and basic CNC instructions.Essential SkillsExperience with plasma cutting equipment.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.Basic CNC experience.Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts (preferred).Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Additional Skills & QualificationsTrainable and eager to learn new skills and techniques.Work Environment
This role involves working both inside and outside, requiring adaptability to various climates. The work environment is heavy industrial and fairly dirty, but the team is laid back and focused on getting the job done. Core hours are Monday to Friday, with flexibility around start and finish times. Some Saturdays and occasional Sundays may be required.
