SUMMARY

 

Responsible for ensuring the proper preparation of knives for cut changes.  Monitors and adjusts cutting and sizing equipment with accuracy. Responsible for achieving optimum equipment performance, which results in meeting or exceeding product quality standards.  Also helps in daily sanitation and clean-ups.

 

NATURE AND SCOPE

 

Responsibility to monitor work areas, watch for suspicious behavior and report any concerns regarding unidentified visitors and/or unauthorized personnel.Authority to question and take appropriate measures regarding the safety of themselves, other employees, products, and equipment.Responsibility of maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the food processing facility, especially where any raw or finished product is produced.Authority to report and/or eliminate hazards to the safety of the food that is produced in the facility.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Promotes and adheres to company safety work rules and regulations.Operates cutter deck and related equipment.Performs machine preventative maintenance checks, diagnostic checks, and routine adjustments on line equipment.Coordinates with other operators in varying departments.Collects samples and inspects product for quality requirements and machine efficiencies.Monitors and maintains sufficient water level in pump tanks.Prepares and maintains process control report data.Inputs all information into Infinity and completes all records and reports.Evaluates and measures by-product recovery system. Relieves other employees under the discretion of the supervisor.Attends and participates in all annual, departmental, and job specific required training and monthly informational meetings.Communicates problems or changes in production or quality to supervisor and appropriate personnel.Understands and adheres to the concepts and techniques of the quality process in order to ensure a quality operation.Keeps area clean and orderly in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).Helps to build and promote a strong “Teamwork” environment in each individual work group, the Factory, and the Company.Participates in continuous improvement process

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Compensation Package: $21.83-$24.24 USD hourly + bonus eligibility

 

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.

 

Shift Differential Pay: $1.50/hr
