Responsibilities:

The technician must possess the ability to operate all machinery within the department.  Assist operators with maintenance, make readies and troubleshooting.  Ensure that safety, quality, SQF preventive maintenance and production procedures are being followed.  Conduct training as required.  Understand key goals of the department and ensure these are being met.  Raise awareness for housekeeping, 5S, DEC and ER to ensure these areas are being addressed across all shifts.  Assist the shift supervisor with technical support and engage the shift supervisor with personnel issues that arise.  Perform the duties of an operator as required.  Identify and facilitate process improvement projects.Communicate with opposite shift.
