Overview We are seeking a Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Vascular Technician to be a part of our interventional Imaging team at M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank in Minneapolis! This position is eligible for a sign on bonus starting at $4,000! The CV/IR Vascular Tech will assist providers with minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures. Responsible for operating angio equipment to include Hybrid OR andHybrid IR suite. Post processing, for example, 2D, 3D, and cross-sectional imaging. Schedule: FTE 0.8, 64 hours per pay period. Rotating 8-hour schedule with start times of 7am, 7:30am and 9am and will include an on-call component. Responsibilities Job Description Perform procedures with technical accuracy in a timely manner. Position patients, as required to achieve quality diagnostic images, according to departmental protocol Scrubbing in to assist provider with wire handling, device deployment, and ancillary equipment usage Ensure proper patient identification on all images and complete all Procedural documentation according to departmental policies including proper image marking, Post procedural imaging processing, scheduling, tracking, and accurately entering procedural charges Know procedural appropriate supplies and related charges Demonstrates proper sterile technique Provide appropriate patient care during imaging procedures Maintain rooms and properly operate and care for imaging equipment Communication with patients, families, staff, peers, and supervisor Participate in the orientation and training of new employees and students Participates in the departmental quality assurance and quality improvement plan, following all appropriate protocols Perform duties in a safe and responsible manner following appropriate radiation safety policies, general safety protocols, infection control standards, and emergency preparedness protocols The above description of job duties and standards are intended to reflect the major responsibilities and duties of the job Other responsibilities may be assigned Qualifications Required Graduate of an education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs CVT, RCIS, or RCES Current CPR Preferred 1-3 years of CV-Vascular experience EEO Statement EEO/AA Employer/Vet/Disabled: All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to any lawfully protected status
