Key responsibilities include assisting in the scrub and circulating roles during the procedure, preparing, and maintaining a variety of specialized equipment, providing excellent patient care before, during, and after the procedure. Collaborates and communicates effectively with the care team, and adheres to all regulatory requirements, safety protocols, infection control practices, and patient confidentiality. Proficient in pediatric, adult, and congenital specialty procedures within their assigned lab. Within the Cath Lab this may include structural procedurals and hemodynamics such as coronary spasm studies, TAVR, and peripheral procedures; within Heart Rhythm Services Lab, left bundle branch pacing, OR device extractions, and hybrid ablations Flexible to adapt to changing priorities, procedures, and technologies and demonstrates the ability to think critically, problem-solve, and make sound decisions under pressure. A graduate of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate academic program in health science (includes, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing). Requires at least 3 years of patient care experience. Prefer applicants with at least (1) year of vascular or cardiovascular lab experience. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required. Incumbent in this role must be actively working to be a certified Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) within 18 months of hire into position, which would make them eligible for promotion to a Cardiac Invasive Lab Tech.
