Job Description

Position Summary:

Intel seeks an exceptionally talented CFO to provide strategic financial leadership for its legacy Foundry business. The CFO will be a strong business partner to the Intel Foundry Leadership team, Intel Products CEO, executive management, and the board of directors; he or she will contribute to business strategy and operations and will play a leading role in identifying and driving opportunities for harmonization and standardization across businesses, capital allocation, performance measures and incentives that drive profitable operations. The CFO plays a critical role in driving operational and financial goals, helping the business identify and capture revenue growth, operational effectiveness, and investment opportunities. The CFO will bring business acumen as well as superb financial and people leadership skills. They will bring experience from a global, multi-segmented technology business with appropriate scale and complexity. Commercial judgment and a business partner mindset and approach are key qualifications. The CFO will have strong IR experience, understands complex financial transformation, and has ideally led an IPO. We seek a collaborative and effective team leader who is passionate about being a key leader in the continued growth of Intel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner with the Intel Foundry Leaders to develop strategic goals and objectives to achieve growth, improve profitability, return on invested capital and shareholder value creation.

Serve as key advisor on financial management including revenue enhancement, cost controls, strategy and capital development and allocation.

Help identify, evaluate, test, track, and report on progress against key strategic priorities to enable growth. Push analytical rigor in thinking and decision making. Deliver consistent financial results year after year.

Lead financial planning and analysis including, consolidated annual budgeting, forecasting and long-range business planning.

Develop fact-based analytics to monitor key performance levers and strategic objectives.

Develop capital expenditure plans that align with strategic initiatives and oversee capital spending to ensure alignment with targeted financial performance.

Assess and lead strategic options including M&A. In partnership with other company leaders, drive and support due diligence, analysis, negotiation, deal structuring, and other activities, when needed.

Serve as liaison between the business unit and business services functions regarding financial and business operations goals and objectives, compliance, and reporting requirements.

Determine the financial split and serve as a liaison between Intel Products and Intel Foundry during the split of the organization.

Qualifications

Candidate Profile:

The CFO is an accomplished financial executive with unquestionable integrity, a positive reputation, drive, strategic vision, and demonstrated success serving as a CFO of a complex, global business, with significant scale. The successful candidate will have a track record of positive results related to Finance, Accounting, Competitive Analysis, Strategic Planning and Business Operations, FP&A, Forecasting, Scenario Planning, P&L, Balance Sheet analysis, Financial Modeling, and Process Design & Improvement. Experience in semiconductor or other relevant technology domains is highly desirable. The CFO will bring exceptional collaboration, influencing and operational skills. Ideal candidates will bring strong business acumen—in addition to finance acumen—with the interest and ability to drive value creation. The CFO will foster a great finance organization by leading their team through best-in-class management, mentorship, and coaching. The successful candidate will have a strong strategic orientation coupled with solid operating skills required to lead as CFO of a global company. The new Intel Foundry CFO will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills and will work effectively across the broader Intel organization with executives, the management team, employees, and other stakeholders. This individual must thrive in complexity and ambiguity on the path to strategy and execution and exhibit the necessary hands-on grit required to transform the organization.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

Functional Experience and Scale

Progressive and well-rounded financial leadership experience, ideally gained in a large-scale public company CFO role is ideal.

Must have a minimum of $10B in revenue and have had experience in a growing and complex company organically and/or inorganically. Strong academic credentials, including a finance, accounting, or other relevant degree; and/or MBA are desirable.

Domain

Experience in a complex, global business to business technology environment is required. Exposure to the semiconductor industry and specifically, semiconductor manufacturing is ideal.

Strategic Partnership

Experience working with a CEO, executive team, and/or board as a strategic thought partner.

Able to demonstrate explicit experience and success modeling how the business will look 3-5 years – i.e., where to invest, how to invest, projections, ability to debate new ideas/perspective. Understands product strategies, end markets and implications.

Financial Processes and Systems

Strength in a combination of financial planning and analysis. Has explicit experience driving operational excellence in helping to improve gross and operating margins across all levers.

Must understand revenue recognition rules and accounting nuances. Must have experience with international financial operations and systems including in Asia and Europe.

Transformation

Experience in strategically transforming a business model in order to drive more value, margins, and revenue for an organization is ideal.

Leadership

Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally to enhance capabilities and drive organization excellence. Must have experience in recruiting, building, and mentoring a world class team and organization.

M&A and Integration Experience

M&A experience (deal sourcing, diligence) as well as integration efforts is preferred.

Global Experience

Global experience, overseeing international operations and managing a globally distributed finance team is required.

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience


Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. * Job posting details (such as work model, location or time type) are subject to change.
